CBSE 10th Class Result 2024 Anticipated Announcement Date and Latest Updates on Answer Sheet Evaluation

Introduction

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently overseeing the administration of the Class 10 and 12 Board Exams for the year 2024. While the Class 10 examination concluded on March 13, 2024, the Class 12 exam is scheduled to conclude on April 2, 2024.

Anticipated Announcement Date

Multiple media sources report that the assessment process for CBSE Class 10 answer sheets is nearing its conclusion. It is anticipated, based on past years’ trends, that the Board will declare the CBSE 10th Result 2024 in early May. However, official confirmation on this matter is still awaited.

Evaluation Process

This academic year witnessed the participation of approximately 16 lakh students in the Class 10 board examination. With an estimated average of 5 answer sheets per student, the total count of answer sheets to be evaluated exceeded 80 lakh. Evaluation activities commenced in early March. Following the assessment phase, the board proceeds with collecting the answer sheets, preparing the results, scanning and uploading the copies, and computing the marks. This entire process typically spans around 2 to 3 weeks.

Simultaneous Announcement of Class 10, 12 Results

In recent years, the board has adopted the practice of announcing both the Class 10 and 12 results on the same day. Additionally, while these results traditionally have been released by the end of May, the central board has taken proactive steps to expedite the release process.

Previous Year Results Comparison

In the previous year, the CBSE Class 10 pass percentage stood at 93.12%, surpassing the pre-Covid pass percentage of 91.10% in 2019. Once unveiled, the CBSE 10th results and marksheets will be accessible on the DigiLocker website and mobile app. Students can utilize their class 10 roll number, school number, date of birth, and admit card ID to verify and download their CBSE 10th Marksheet for the year 2024.

Last year, a total of 2,184,117 students had registered for the Class 10 exams. Out of this number, 2,165,805 students appeared in the exams. Among those who took the exams, 2,016,779 students successfully passed and were promoted to the next class. A total number of 44,297 students scored 95% and above marks in CBSE 10th board examinations.
